March 1967 | Establishment of Ryogoku Foods Co., Ltd., a food service company with a capitalization of 1 million yen. |

November 1977 | Expanded into Kanto region with the opening of Kineya (Otemachi Nihon Building Store) in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. |
September 1986 | Trade name changed to GOURMET KINEYA CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) following a merger with Gourmet Co., Ltd. that brought its sandwich, omelette and curry restaurants and catering division into the business. |
November 1987 | Constructed head office building in Suminoe-ku, Osaka, incorporating a training center with four test kitchens, a research and development room equipped with a cooking laboratory, a quality control room, and a bacteria inspection room. |
November 1989 | Listed on the Second Section of the Osaka Securities exchange. |
January 1991 | Established World Gourmet Co., Ltd., making it a subsidiary. |
March 1991 | Established Ueno Catering in Taito-ku, Tokyo. |
July 1992 | Established Sky Foods Co., Ltd. (currently Asahi Catering Co., Ltd.), an airline food catering company, through a joint investment with KINKI Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi Corporation. |
June 1994 | Established Gourmet Ashiya Co., Ltd. through a joint investment with Ashiya Sangyo Co., Ltd. |
July 1995 | Listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. |
September 1996 | Listed on the First Sections of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and of the Osaka Securities Exchange. |
September 1997 | Indian Summer Co., Ltd. became a subsidiary of the Company. |
October 1997 | Constructed catering factory in Suminoe-ku, Osaka, making it the catering division headquarters with the relocation of Seibu Catering from Sumiyoshi-ku, Osaka. |
May 1998 | Formed a Business and capital alliance with Genki Sushi Co., Ltd. (head office located in Utsunomiya, Tochigi Prefecture). |
June 1998 | Yamayoshi Foods Wholesale Co., Ltd. became a subsidiary of the Company. |
October 2000 | Relocated Tokyo office to Minato-ku, Tokyo with the establishment of training center, after the acquisition of land and buildings. |
December 2001 | Tomoe Shoji Co., Ltd. became a subsidiary of the Company. |
January 2003 | Osaka Kizu Market Co., Ltd. became a subsidiary of the Company. |
April 2003 | Spun-off the China division of Venture Company into Ashi Chinese Factory Co., Ltd., making it a subsidiary of the Company. |
August 2003 | AAS Catering Co., Ltd. became a subsidiary of the Company. |
April 2004 | Spun-off the Mugimaru Division of Venture Company into Mugimaru Co., Ltd., making it a subsidiary of the Company. |
April 2006 | Merger of three subsidiaries: Gourmet Ashiya Co., Ltd., Indian Summer Co., Ltd. and Tomoe Shoji Co., Ltd. which is the surviving entity. |
April 2006 | Mizuma Railway Co., Ltd. became a subsidiary of the Company. |
April 2008 | The catering factory headquarters and Ueno factory transferred to Company's subsidiary Asahi Catering Co., Ltd. as an investment-in-kind. Merged Mugimaru Co., Ltd. |
July 2008 | Company's subsidiary Osaka Kizu Market Co., Ltd. made Osaka Kizu Fish Market Co., Ltd. a subsidiary. |
February 2009 | Japan Food Wholesale Co., Ltd. became a subsidiary of the Company. |
April 2009 | Transferred its 100% equity stake in Asahi Catering Co., Ltd. to the subsidiary AAS Catering Co., Ltd. |
July 2009 | Company's subsidiaries Tomoe Shoji Co., Ltd. and Ashi Chinese Factory Co., Ltd. merged into the Company, the surviving entity. Company's subsidiary Osaka Kizu Market Co., Ltd. merged its subsidiary Osaka Kizu Fish Market Co., Ltd. |
April 2013 | Asahi Catering Co., Ltd. became a subsidiary of the Company by acquiring all 30,452 shares of this company from AAS Catering Co., Ltd. |
October 2015 | Established Gourmet Kineya Restaurant Co., Ltd. (wholly owned by the Company) and entrusted shop operation of the restaurant business to this company. GOURMET KINEYA CO., LTD. (the Company) became a holding company. |
April 2017 | Ginza Tanakaya K.K. became a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company by acquiring all 9,000 shares of this company. |
September 2017 | Established GK ASIA SDN. BHD. (66% owned by the Company) in Malaysia. |
February 2018 | Established MYNEWS KINEYA SDN. BHD. (49% owned by GK ASIA SDN. BHD.) in Malaysia through a joint venture agreement between GK ASIA SDN. BHD. and MYNEWS FOODS SDN. BHD. |
October 2018 | Ichibantei Honbu K.K. became a 90% owned subsidiary of the Company by acquiring 180 shares of this company. |
April 2019 | Asahi Catering Co., Ltd. established its head office and a new factory in Kaizuka city, Osaka, and changed trade name to ASAHI Wellness Foods Co., Ltd. |
May 2019 | Established GK Business Support CO.,LTD. (wholly owned by the Company). |
